Shipyard Staffing is currently seeking Fire Watch workers in San Diego, CA

Fire Watch Requirements

• Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Safety / Fire plan

• Be aware of fire hazards on the jobsite while work is performed by contractors

• Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Hot work, and other permits

• Keep flammable materials from ignition sources

• In the event of fire, notify hot work operator, extinguish it immediately, notify Team Lead

• Stop operations if you find any hazardous condition

• Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of shift

• Daily, Weekly, and other reporting as required for internal and external purpose

• Work overtime as required by customer and job specifications

• Be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing

• Be able to think quickly and critically

• Exercise good judgment in potentially dangerous situations
