General Laborer

Shipyard Staffing is currently seeking General Laborers in Norfolk and Newport News, VA. General Laborers will be responsible for supporting a variety of general labor tasks. Laborers will perform mostly trash recovery, onboard ship cleaning, pier and dry-dock floor sweeping, shoveling sandblast grit and pressure washing.

 

General Laborer Requirements:

• No experience needed, must be willing to learn and have strong attendance

• Must be able to meet all physical requirements of standing, walking, climbing stairs, light to heavy lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, stooping and bending.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

• Must follow all safety rules and regulations for safe operations
