WAF Coordinator

Work Authorization Forms (WAF) Coordinator Job Description: <br>

  *   Coordinator administers the work authorization process. <br>

  *   The WAF Coordinator shall receive, compare, review, process and coordinate all Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and Technical Work Documents (TWDs) for all repair activities throughout the course of ship’s repair availability. (PHNSY and Diver’s WAFs exempt). <br>

  *   Gives WAF and Tagout requirement training to all repair activities. (PHNSY exempt). <br>

  *   Act as a liaison for all repair activities in matters of WAFs and Tagouts with the goal of 100% compliance and zero violations. <br>

Required Skills and Education: <br>

  *   Must be a US Citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBIDS Badge<br>

  *   Proficient use of the computer; facsimile machine, multi-function telephone, copier<br> Knowledge of Navsea Standard Items and requirements<br>

  *   Ability to write understandable reports<br>

  *   Ability to read and understand technical manuals<br>

  *   Ability to prepare departmental operating procedures<br>

Experence: <br>

  *   Must be familiar with the United States Navy Tag-out System or equivalent processes<br>

<br>

Environmental Conditions: <br>

  *   Spends 50% of the time indoors <br>

  *   50% outside which may include time spent in various areas of the ships<br>

<br>

Physical Demands: <br>

  *   Must be able to climb stairs to reach various sections of the ships<br>

  *   Able to crawl<br>

  *   Walk a minimum of 500 yards<br>

<br>

<center>* Must pass background and drug screenings<br>

* Must be U.S. Citizen<br>

* Must be 18 years of age or older<br>
